R.I.P Eddie Van Halen

We lost a guitar legend today.

Smoking killed him. He died of cancer this morning, according to his son Wolfgang.

He's up there jamming with Randy Rhoads and Dimebag.

He's the reason why I touched an electric guitar in the first place.

Will make a drawing for him when I don't have so much schoolwork.

My mom actually was the one to tell me the news.

Rest in power.

And boy, he was hot and cute. Devastated.

Freddie's Fur Coat

Freddie Mercury's birthday always makes me the saddest. I can imagine him being with all the legends up there. He'd be 74 if he was still alive, but I know he'd hate to make it to 70. He wanted his life to be short.

Freddie is wearing his fur coat from the "Killer Queen" music video in 1974.

Music video here.

Deaky 69

I do have something for John Deacon. Because he was born on August 19, 1951, that makes him 69 this year! Woohoo!

Apparently there was this one time Deaky got so drunk that when he heard a Queen song playing on the radio, he asked who the band was. This is my visualization of the event.

Deaky is wearing his awesome Space Invaders sweater circa 1981. He is wearing it in this picture below.

GOTTA YEET THAT SOUND YEAH YEAH YEAH — phylhrmnix: JOHN DEACON IN ...

I decided to chose "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" because a lot of people (including myself) thought the song was by Elvis Presley when they first heard it. In reality, Freddie wrote it in a bathtub.

Happy Birthday, Deaky!

Roger and his sparkly shoes.

Roger Taylor's birthday is the same as my mom's and Mick Jagger's. That is July 26. He is turning 71 this year.
This is one of my favorite outfits of Roger. He is so hot here.
I'll upload the original pics later.

Bri's Disco Outfit.

Brian May's birthday is tomorrow, so I made him this. 73 is a scary age, because Florian Schneider was 73 when he died. My grandpa was 74 when he died. Both died of cancer though. I'm also glad that Bri is doing okay after his heart attack. We could have lost him. *sobs*
Anyways, here's the picture I drew!
This outfit in particular is very colorful and funky. It's like something he'd wear to a disco. Here's the pic of him wearing the outfit below.
Very far out! This picture was taken in 1979. I obviously wasn't alive in 1979.

My First Drawing Of Kraftwerk

I decided to draw Kraftwerk. Since it's my first time drawing these German techno pioneers, I apologize if it isn't perfect. I will draw them more (in the T.E.E style) in the future.
This is based on the music video for "Trans Europe Express" in 1977.
Link for the music video
Here are some stills from the video.
 De Kraftwerk-catalogus (3): 'Trans-Europe Express' uit 1977 ...
I wouldn't mind making comics of them based on this style! Iggy Pop and David Bowie will make appearances in the comics.

Groovy Brian May drawing 2020

Online school has made me busy. I usually draw Brian May during May 1st when I have breaks at school. But during the Great Corona Virus Pandemic of 2020, I had to take a different approach. Whenever I wasn't playing Just Dance or learning how to play "Europe Endless" on a Minimoog (R.I.F.P Florian Schneider-Esleben) OR having to do online schoolwork or watching TV, I was working on this. Didn't have much time in a whole day, but today I finally managed to finish it and color everything in! Da da da da da da! Here it is!
The drawing is based on this shot by Michael Putland in 1973.
I love his necklace in that photoshoot.

I used:
  • Crayola Twistables
  • Black Sharpie
  • Orange Gellyroll Gold Shadow pen

R.I.P Florian Schneider (Fuck Cancer speech)

I'm a huge fan of Kraftwerk. I listen to their music every day.
When I heard about Florian's passing today, I was crying and shaking. Hit me even harder than Kobe's death.
He was a techno pioneer. He may be gone, but his legacy is immortal.
A lot of bands wouldn't exist without him.
Danke schön, Herr Schneider. You inspired me to buy a Minimoog.
I'm dedicating my album in the works to him and Gershon Kingsley.
I found out about his death while listening to "Europe Endless" and doing online school work. Upon finding out, I was in disbelief. I was like "HOLY SHIT!".
Then I saw it explode all over the internet. His death is confirmed. 2020 just keeps getting shittier.
Ralf and Florian founded Kraftwerk. Florian retired in 2008, but Ralf continues to perform today.
This afternoon, it was confirmed that Florian died of cancer at the age of 73.
If it weren't for COVID-19, then Flo probably would have been mentioned on the news.
It highlights how evil and unforgiving cancer is. It's worse than what COVID-19 will ever be.
COVID-19 may be reported as the most common cause of death in recent days, but that is without taking pre-existing conditions (such as heart disease and asthma) into consideration.
Cancer has killed over 2 million people this year alone. Unfortunately, Flo is part of those >2 million.
Yes, I know that COVID-19 is more contagious and it spreads asymptotically, but it's a virus with a mortality rate on par with a bad flu season! Don't believe the media's fear mongering horse shit!
Cancer, on the other hand, has existed much longer, sometimes happens for no reason, and the death sentence varies.
I would rather get COVID-19 than any terminal illness, such as cancer, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's.
The purpose of this post is to inform people that a global pandemic (as scary as it may sound) should not overshadow the age-old threat that is cancer.
Right now, a cure for COVID is more important. It will pass like all the other outbreaks we've had in history. However, the cure for cancer, would also be amazing.
Cancer has killed these icons:
  • Patrick Swayze
  • Stefan Karl (Robbie Rotten)
  • Steve Jobs
  • David Bowie (Who wrote a song about Florian Schneider)
  • Alan Rickman
  • Bob Marley
  • Farrah Fawcett
  • Edd Gould (Eddsworld)
  • Bob Denver (Gilligan)
  • Adam Yauch (Beastie Boys)
  • Ulysees S. Grant (Last words: "Water.")
But now it has killed our beloved flutist, the guy with the huge forehead, Florian.
Florian was, and still is, my favorite member of Kraftwerk. The most German looking Germans ever.
Tributes are pouring on Twitter. Those who have made tributes include, but are not limited to: Gary Numan, Thomas Dolby, and OMD.
Here's all 22 minutes of Autobahn.

I can drive.

It's been a while since I've posted on here, but now is the time I share great news.

I just passed the driving test and got my license today! I can't believe it myself!

My boyfriend still doesn't have his license, but he wouldn't dump me just because I got mine first and on the first try!

Other than the fact that I can drive of course, not much has really changed.

I'm still that that weird but hot fake blonde bitch with Asperger's. I'll still be interested in some obscure psychedelic shit from the 60s and 70s. I'll still look like Marcia Brady, even though my voice sounds more like Greg's than anyone else's.

Sometimes I just can't handle the responsibilities.
