More of Madrid

This is the Gran Vía where many tourists, and as well as locals, come to shop.
I forgot what this guy was doing, but it was probably something cool.
Here is the square! (Or la plaza, I should say.)
Buildings young and old come to stay!
Many kids love to hang out in this area.
 Great weather and great view!
Oh look! It's Pooh bear!
It's basically their Time Square. You see people wearing costumes and shopping all the time!
This is what they call "The Lollipop" and it is still under construction.
More people = more hospitals!

I did not have lunch that day. Because dinner time in Spain is normally around 8 pm, the only place I could find that was open was a mediocre pizza place. But keep in mind, WE WERE FUCKING STARVING! WE WEREN'T AWARE THAT THEY EAT AT DIFFERENT TIMES THAN US!

Toledo

No, not the Toledo in Ohio!
I think it's bait for the Americans.
Spotted another phone booth. I haven't seen a phone booth in 5 years back in Florida!
Many of the churches used to be mosques.
That door is ginormous. The picture makes it seem smaller.
 LET ME IN!
These are some very pretty buildings. Toledo es bonitísimo!
Rockin' my new glasses! I seem to get a new pair every trip!
Look! I can see my tour bus from a distance!
A square version of the panoramic picture I took. I blame Instagram. Still pretty, though!
This town was known for its religious freedom.

Mom got a nice necklace there. Since we share our clothes and jewelry, I sometimes wear it too.

Exploring Madrid

As you know, Madrid is in the very center of Spain. We explore downtown!
El Corte Inglés! Open 10 AM to 10 PM!
El Plaza de Toros (It is a bullring that is still in use today)
There are many statues close to the bullring, one of them being Dr. Fleming.
When Dr. Fleming discovered penicillin, he saved a lot of lives.
This city is dope! You just can't stop looking around!
 La estatua de Julia
 An older part of Madrid
A more modern part of Madrid.
5 Jotas was the place where we had dinner that night.
Oh, wow! They still have phone booths here too! But that's probably because it's a big city.

Iberian ham from Madrid is delicious. You should try it if you ever visit!

Heading to Spain

I finished downloading all the pictures from my Instagram page that I took in Spain to my computer already. NOW IS MY TIME TO SHARE THEM! I will post more as the days come.
Like always, I do my nails before the trip.
Selfie I took at the Atlanta airport. It is one of the busiest airports in the world.
Recreating that stupid selfie from Italy, YET AGAIN!
Sitting next to a statue in Madrid's airport.
On my way to the hotel. Ay dios mío!
You can even see snowy mountains from a distance.
The trees sorta block it though...
This is not the best part of Madrid...
MOVE BITCH, GET OUT THE WAY!
OH WAIT, THERE'S PALM TREES HERE?
This is the pharmacy close to our hotel.

Watched Scooby Doo in German at the hotel. There were only 2 English channels, and those were CNN and CNBC.
